Located in Springfield, Missouri, the Barista role with American Dining Creations is a pivotal position dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. The Barista’s primary responsibility involves the preparation and serving of a broad range of hot and cold beverages, including various specialty coffees and teas, in accordance with established recipe standards. This role requires engaging with guests by educating them about the drink menu, making personalized recommendations based on individual preferences, and promoting special menu items to enhance their overall experience. Beyond beverage preparation, the Barista also serves food items such as sandwiches, muffins, and bagels, ensuring that every customer interaction is pleasant, efficient, and meets the company’s high standards of quality and service.

Baristas at American Dining Creations operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process orders and handle transactions accurately. They maintain stocked supplies, oversee inventory, and uphold stringent food safety, production, and sanitation regulations to guarantee a safe and clean environment. Emphasis is placed on professional and friendly communication, attentiveness to customer needs, and maintaining an organized and efficient workspace. The role may require physical activities including lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, walking, climbing stairs, and standing for the duration of scheduled shifts. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior cashier and POS experience is preferred
  • Previous coffee bar and brewing equipment experience is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple orders, work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous work experience as a Barista or Server
  • Basic math skills and the ability to read, write and communicate effectively
  • This position requires lifting 30lbs, bending, walking, climb stairs, and standing for scheduled shift

Job Duties

  • Follow recipe standards to prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks
  • Customize specialty drinks as requested
  • Serve food and baked goods including sandwiches, muffins, or bagels
  • Adhere to all state and local food production, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Operate POS to complete orders, accept cash and charge payments
  • Keep supplies replenished, restock coolers, and take inventory as directed
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, dishes, and designated work and service areas
  • Remain focused on customer satisfaction through providing excellent service to all guests, clients, and team members
  • Listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner
  • Be efficient and organized
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed
