As a Barista, you are expected to deliver exceptional customer service while preparing a variety of handcrafted beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, lattes, tea, chai, and blended fruit drinks according to customer preferences. You will greet all customers warmly, work to maintain strong customer relationships, and promote menu offerings through suggestive selling. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- related work experience in customer service
- knowledge of food preparation and sanitation
- familiarity with inventory control systems
- ability to walk or stand for long periods
- capacity to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- flexibility to work weekday morning and afternoon/evening shifts
- ability to follow cash handling procedures
- good interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, general education diploma (GED), or equivalent experience
- experience in customer service
- knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems
- ability to operate cash register and handle cash transactions
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- willingness to learn and follow company procedures
- Starbucks barista certification may be required depending on assignment
Job Duties
- Greet all customers and provide fast, friendly, and personalized service
- mix and serve hot and cold beverages including coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, tea, chai, and blended fruit drinks according to customer specifications
- maintain good customer relations and ensure prompt delivery of all beverages and foods
- educate customers about menu offerings and initiate suggestive sales
- organize supplies and cups/mugs on the coffee cart/counter attractively
- regularly clean coffee machines, restaurant and preparation areas
- record all sales, handle cash, operate a cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- frequently walk or move around during shifts
- stand or walk for extended periods exceeding 8 hours
- reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, frequently lifting up to 35 pounds and occasionally lifting/moving 50 pounds
- attend work and arrive for scheduled shifts on time with consistent regularity
- perform other duties as assigned which may vary by account depending on business and customer needs
