The Barista position at Sodexo, located at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, offers a full-time employment opportunity with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour. This role is primarily scheduled for morning shifts with varying workdays, including some weekends and holidays. Job Requirements
- High school diploma GED or equivalent experience
- Customer service related work experience
- Knowledge of food preparation sanitation standards and inventory control systems
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during shifts
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach bend stoop push and/or pull frequently
- Availability to work mornings varying days and some weekends and holidays
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma GED or equivalent experience
- Customer service related work experience
- Knowledge of food preparation sanitation standards and inventory control systems
- Barista certification may be required for Starbucks Baristas
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Ability to work mornings weekends and holidays as required
Job Duties
- Greet all guests and provide quick friendly and personalized service
- Mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee espresso cappuccino café latte tea chai fruit blend drinks while considering customer specifications
- Maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of beverages and food items
- Educate guests regarding menu offerings and initiate suggestive selling
- Arrange coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to make attractive displays
- Clean coffee machines restaurant areas and preparation areas regularly
- Record all sales collect money operate a cash register and follow all cash-handling procedures
