The role of Barista at HHM Hotels is a vital component of their guest service operations. This position focuses on delivering premium coffee and beverage services to guests with a friendly, efficient, and attentive approach. The Barista is responsible for taking orders, utilizing point-of-sale (POS) systems for transaction processing, and preparing coffee and food orders in alignment with company policies and sustainability standards. This role demands individuals who are detail-oriented and capable of maintaining a clean and well-stocked workspace while adhering to safety, health, and environmental regulations. The Barista is integral to the guest experience, contributing to the overall ambiance and impression of the hotel's dining services. The position offers a clear pathway for professional growth, with advancement opportunities to roles such as Head Barista, Host or Hostess, or Guest Service Agent. Experience as a barista is valued, though customer service experience is a preferred foundation for candidates stepping into this role. Job Duties

  • Take coffee, beverage and food orders, input orders into POS system, collect payment and prepare orders
  • Bus coffee cart areas and tables
  • Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas
  • Ensure that appliances are turned on/off at the appropriate times
  • Stock and maintain work areas
  • Clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day
  • Obtain change required for expected business level
  • count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts and secure bank
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to food & alcoholic beverages
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • and complete safety training and certifications
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits
  • wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
