Job Requirements

  • Prior barista experience required
  • ability to work full time Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 1:30 pm
  • capable of standing for extended periods
  • able to operate espresso machines and POS devices
  • must follow HACCP food safety guidelines
  • ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • must have excellent communication skills

  • skilled in preparing espresso and coffee beverages
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • capability to handle cash and credit transactions
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control
  • good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • enters orders accurately into POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • ensures proper food preparation using approved recipes and production standards
  • keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving area
  • greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
  • serves customers quickly and efficiently to prevent delays
  • demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and explains them accurately
  • assists customers in buying decisions using effective selling techniques
  • ensures display foods are merchandised attractively and served neatly per standards
  • performs other duties as assigned
