Job Requirements

One plus years working as a Barista in specialty coffee or two plus years in non-specialty coffee in high-volume fast-paced environment
Experience using a point of sale (POS) system
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in high-pressure fast-paced environment
Well-organized and detail-oriented
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40lbs

Job Duties

Follow Bluestone Lane recipes and presentation standards in a timely manner
Manage coffee shop equipment and tool cleaning and maintenance including daily cleaning and periodic maintenance
Follow Bluestone Lane operating procedures and processes including completing transactions accurately and following safety and security measures
Dial machine in and maintain consistent espresso extraction per Bluestone Lane brew ratios
Educate, upsell, and assist locals with menu knowledge quickly and efficiently
Train and acclimate new baristas to store systems and processes
Maintain cleanliness of bar and workspace including restocking condiment stations and wiping down tables
Deliver efficient, high-quality coffee and beverage products
Manage coffee product rotation, ordering, and quantity to minimize waste
Complete store opening and closing procedures accurately and efficiently
