Currently, we are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our dynamic team. As a Barista at our café, your primary responsibility will be to prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items with precision and care according to established recipes and standards. Beyond technical skills, this position requires a friendly demeanor and strong communication abilities to engage effectively with customers and team members alike.
The Barista will play a key role in maintaining the café’s cleanliness and organization, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and supporting inventory management by restocking supplies and performing regular checks. This position is both full-time and part-time, offering flexibility to suit different schedules, and the pay range is competitive between $15.00 and $21.00 per hour, reflecting experience and skills.
Training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those new to barista work or the food service industry who are eager to learn and grow in their careers. Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required. For candidates with experience, familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and basic cash handling procedures will give them an advantage. - Ability to commute to Oak Forest, IL 60452
- Willingness to relocate to Oak Forest, IL 60452 before starting work
- Availability to work day shifts preferred
- Passion for coffee and excellent customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work both full-time and part-time
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus
- Knowledge of basic math for cash handling purposes
- Strong communication skills

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, taking their orders accurately and answering any questions they may have about the menu
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels by restocking supplies as needed and performing regular inventory checks
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain cleanliness in the café environment
- Engage with customers to create a warm atmosphere, fostering repeat business through excellent service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
