Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience as a barista
- knowledge of coffee preparation and standards

- familiarity with sales target management
- understanding of stock and waste control procedures
Job Duties
- Coach and train team members and baristas-in-training on barista prepared drinks and standards
- liaise with management to plan and carry out barista prepared drinks training
- conduct coffee team briefs and attend relevant meetings and courses
- ensure all hot drinks training materials are available and up to date
- follow dress code and maintain immaculate presentation
- engage positively with customers and team about Pret's coffee story and menu
- serve barista prepared drinks to the 60 seconds standard, communicating any delays
- create customer 'wow' moments with latte art
- make all barista prepared drinks to Pret standards
- role model coffee knowledge and maintain understanding of Pret's drinks and standards
- maintain equipment and drink counter cleanliness and maintenance
- carry out log checks, thermometer calibration, and dribble tests
- manage waste levels of barista prepared drinks ingredients
- address stock variances and waste issues
- set and share weekly sales targets with the team
- analyze shop sales data and sales mix
- use promotional waste to sample and recognize regular customers
