Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service or barista experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to handle cash and operate credit card machines
  • Willingness to follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
  • Must be available to work some weekends
  • Basic math skills for cash handling

Job Qualifications

  • Physical ability to occasionally push, pull, lift or carry up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize for outstanding service
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance, uniform and grooming
  • Available to work some weekends

Job Duties

  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team
  • Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
  • Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create a warm and welcoming environment during each shift
  • Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed
  • Delivers outstanding customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer
  • Follows Starbucks as well as the property's operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that associates can locate resources and product as needed
