Baristas are responsible for preparing quality coffee, tea, and other beverages tailored to customer preferences, efficiently handling transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of their workspace. They play a key role in fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests, supporting team members through coaching and training, and upholding all operational procedures related to safety, security, and product quality. This position demands a calm demeanor under pressure, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask while prioritizing exceptional service. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for the entire shift and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Job Requirements
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written
- Must be effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize to ensure outstanding service
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Maintain regular attendance per hotel standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance, uniform and grooming
- Maximize productivity efforts and assist in solutions
- Perform other duties as requested by management
- Must be available to work some weekends
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds
- Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment is a plus
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures
Job Duties
- Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
- Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
- Communicate information to manager to create a warm and welcoming environment
- Assist with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing coaching
- Deliver outstanding customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and responding to customer needs
- Follow operational policies and procedures including cash handling, safety, and security
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Provide quality beverages and food products consistently by adhering to recipe and presentation standards
- Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines
