Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous food service or barista experience preferred
  • ability to work a full-time schedule with open availability including days, nights and weekends
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to follow food safety guidelines
  • effective communication skills
  • willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a food service or barista role preferred
  • ability to operate POS devices accurately
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • basic math skills for handling transactions
  • team-oriented mindset
  • ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • enters orders accurately into POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • follows HACCP standards
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • ensures proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards
  • keeps display equipment clean during meal service
  • cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving
  • greets customers courteously and ensures customer satisfaction
  • relays customer concerns to supervisors
  • serves customers quickly and efficiently to prevent delays
  • explains daily menu items accurately to customers
  • promotes sales through effective communication and assistance
  • ensures attractive merchandise presentation and food serving standards
  • performs other duties as assigned
