Job Qualifications

- Basic understanding of sales targets and stock management
Job Duties
- Coach and train team members and baristas-in-training on barista prepared drinks and standards
- Liaise with management to plan and carry out barista prepared drinks training
- Conduct coffee team briefs and attend meetings and courses related to barista prepared drinks
- Ensure all hot drinks training material is available and up to date
- Follow Pret's dress code and maintain immaculate presentation
- Positively engage with customers and the team about Pret’s coffee story and menu
- Serve barista prepared drinks to 60 seconds standards and communicate delays
- Impress customers with latte art
- Make all barista prepared drinks to Pret standards
- Role model coffee knowledge and maintain understanding of Pret’s drinks and standards
- Maintain barista drink equipment, counters and perform daily and weekly checks
- Clean barista prepared drinks counter from a customer viewpoint and practice clean-as-you-go
- Carry out log checks, thermometer calibration and dribble tests
- Manage barista drink waste levels and action stock variances
- Share weekly sales targets with the team and know shop sales metrics
- Use promotional waste to sample drinks and recognize regular customers
