Job Duties
- Coach and train team members on barista prepared drinks and standards
- liaise with management to plan and execute barista drinks training
- conduct coffee team briefs and attend relevant meetings
- maintain up-to-date hot drinks training materials
- follow Pret's dress code and maintain uniform standards
- engage customers with Pret's coffee story and menu
- serve barista drinks within 60-second standard
- create latte art to impress customers
- prepare barista drinks to Pret standards
- demonstrate coffee knowledge and maintain drink quality
- maintain barista equipment and perform daily and weekly checks
- clean barista counter from a customer perspective
- perform log checks, thermometer calibration, and dribble tests
- control and manage waste levels of barista ingredients
- address stock variances and waste issues
- set and share weekly sales targets
- analyze barista sales against total sales
- use promotional waste effectively to sample drinks and recognize customers
