Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year experience as a barista, or 2+ years in a restaurant or hospitality role
Demonstrated knowledge of espresso preparation and milk texturing
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Reliable and punctual
Ability to work morning and weekend shifts
Food handler certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
Must be able to commute to Columbia, MD
Must be willing to relocate to Columbia, MD before starting work

Job Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent preferred
At least 1 year of experience as a barista or 2+ years in a restaurant or hospitality role
Demonstrated knowledge of espresso preparation and milk texturing techniques
Strong communication and customer service skills in a guest-facing environment
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Reliable and punctual with the ability to work morning and weekend shifts
Food handler certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
Experience with specialty coffee techniques such as latte art or single-origin brewing is a plus
Familiarity with café POS systems like Square or Toast is preferred
Passion for coffee origins, roasting, or brewing methods is an advantage
Bilingual skills are considered a plus

Job Duties

Prepare and serve espresso drinks, pour-overs, cold brews, and specialty beverages to spec
Greet and assist guests with warmth and professionalism, handling high-volume rushes with ease
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and equipment
Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation standards
Operate a POS system and handle cash and card transactions accurately
Collaborate with the team to restock, prep, and ensure smooth daily operations
Educate guests on menu offerings and seasonal specials
