The part-time Barista position at River Crest's Crest Cafe offers an exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to outstanding service and quality. This role focuses on preparing and serving a wide variety of hot and cold beverages, managing ToGo orders, and maintaining the cafe area to ensure a pleasant experience for members and guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading daily supplies, expertly operating espresso machines, and engaging warmly with customers over the phone and in person. Offering a competitive pay range of $18 to $20 per hour plus a 15% service charge based on verifiable experience, this position values experience and customer service acumen.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Food Handlers Certification
  • TABC certification if 18 years old (within 30 days of hire

  • Ability to handle fast paced, noisy environment
  • Able to perform physical activities requiring use of arms, legs, and entire body
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs

  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen

Job Duties

  • Set up cafe and ToGo stations and maintain adequate supplies
  • Provide immediate attention to all Members and Guests upon phone and window operations
  • Answer menu questions
  • Suggest coffee or tea drinks as well as Togo items
  • Present specials and suggest menu items
  • Take orders and put in POS computer system in a timely manner
  • Take correct orders and bag assembly of Togo orders
  • Present bill
  • Handle all charge tickets
  • Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
  • Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by Manager
  • Report to the supervisor to receive instructions of any special duties or events
  • Complete all service duties in accordance with the guidelines for high standards of service set forth by the Club
  • Greet Members and their Guests by last name whenever possible
  • Ensure that Members and their Guests receive immediate attention and service upon arrival
  • Observe all club policies in dealing with Members and non-members in club usage
  • Ensure that all established service procedures and standards are adhered to and performed with the emphasis on giving superior service to the Members
  • Work special events for the Club in a variety of positions
