The current opportunity is for a Barista position at Metz Culinary Management aimed at individuals passionate about crafting hand-made hot and cold coffee and tea beverages. The Barista will play a critical part in delivering exceptional customer service, interacting directly with guests by understanding their preferences and educating them on the coffee beverage options available. This role goes beyond just beverage preparation; it involves maintaining cleanliness and organization of the station, handling cash transactions accurately, and supporting overall operations by training new team members and cross-training across departments.

This position requires previous barista experience, ensuring familiarity with brewing equipment, and a SERV Safe Certification to guarantee safe food handling and preparation practices. Job Requirements

  • Previous barista experience required

  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand without limitation and for long periods of time
  • Ability to carry 50lbs on a consistent basis
  • Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills

Job Duties

  • Preparing, stocking, and maintaining your station continuously throughout the day
  • Greets guests determining their coffee interests and needs
  • Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions
  • Preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques along with serving pastries, sandwiches, and other food items
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
  • Use of cash register, accurate cash handling and payment processing
  • Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross train in other departments
  • Complete weekly inventory and order list
  • Clean and maintain all equipment continuously
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by Operations Manager
