Within its well-established hotels, Summit Hospitality Group is currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Barback/Busser to join its Food & Beverage Team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of the hotel’s dining and bar services, providing essential support to ensure an exceptional guest experience. As a Busser/Barback, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in the dining and bar areas, supporting servers and bartenders, and ensuring that all service areas are well stocked and prepared for guests. This position is fundamental in upholding the high hospitality standards that Summit Hospitality Group is known for.

The Barback/Busser role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment, capable of multitasking and maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure. This role includes responsibilities such as setting up banquet rooms per management instructions, preparing garnishes, restocking supplies like napkins and straws, changing beer kegs, and promptly clearing and resetting tables between guest uses. Additionally, maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations related to the service of alcohol is essential to this position.

The position requires a 40-hour work week that includes weekends and evenings, reflecting the hospitality industry's demand for flexible and committed team members. Job Qualifications

  • experience in full-service restaurant, bar, or lounge preferred

Job Duties

  • set up banquet rooms as instructed by management
  • prepare garnishes and refill ice wells
  • change beer kegs and restock napkins and straws
  • serve food and beverages ensuring proper temperature and timeliness
  • promptly bus dishes and clean tables
  • clean up spills and organize counters
  • reset restaurant, bar, and lounge areas
  • perform side work including replenishing condiments and restocking supplies
  • perform general cleaning tasks following sanitation standards
  • abide by liquor regulations
  • ensure security of guests, employees, and property
  • enforce policies and procedures
  • adapt to additional tasks as assigned
