The role of Barback at Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is a vital position within the Food and Beverage Team. This full-time role is designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to a memorable guest experience by supporting the bar operations. As a Barback, you will play a crucial part in preparing the bar for service, maintaining stock levels, and assisting bartenders by ensuring the bar area is clean, organized, and fully equipped throughout service periods. The position involves preparing fresh ingredients, including cutting and slicing garnishes and fruits, mixing juices, and placing supplies in designated containers. You will be responsible for managing beer kegs and taps, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted service flow.

In addition to inventory management, the Barback must maintain compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol regulations, guaranteeing the welfare of both guests and team members. Job Duties

  • Prepare fresh ingredients: cut, slice, and peel garnishes and fruits, mix juices, and place all prepared supplies in designated containers
  • Keep the bar stocked: work closely with the bartender to ensure the bar is stocked with essentials like glassware, ice, produce, condiments and paper products
  • Manage beer kegs and taps: transport, replace, and maintain beer kegs and taps to ensure uninterrupted service
  • Assist with inventory management: retrieve orders from the storeroom, visually check stock, reconcile with written requisitions, and re-check upon delivery
  • Keep bar and storage areas clean: maintain cleanliness of the bar area, beer lockers, refrigerators, and storage areas
  • Comply with regulatory standards: maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member well-being
