The Long Weekend is a premium cocktail bar located in a historic 1920s bank building at Columbus and Broadway in North Beach, San Francisco. Celebrated for its distinctive and immersive cultural themes that rotate every nine months, the bar is currently showcasing the "Long Weekend Havana" experience. This vibrant venue spans three unique levels, each offering its own atmosphere and character. The main bar is designed in a traditional Cuban style, inviting guests to enjoy classic yet innovative cocktails inspired by Havana's rich nightlife heritage. Above, mezzanines provide lounge spaces perfect for socializing and relaxing, while the underground vault bar, "La Bóveda," offers a modern and lively interpretation of Havana nightlife, complete with a dynamic ambiance and expertly crafted drinks.

The Long Weekend prides itself on delivering exceptional experiences to its patrons through a combination of unique themes, quality beverages, and attentive service. The bar operates primarily Monday through Saturday from 3:30 pm to 2:30 am, providing ample opportunity for those interested in nightlife hospitality to engage in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Barback to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in the restaurant, bar, or hotel industries or for those eager to develop new skills in a dynamic hospitality setting. The Barback position plays a critical support role, working closely with bartenders to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the bar. This position is well-suited for individuals who enjoy the challenge of opening new locations or helping establish a memorable first impression for patrons. The hourly pay includes the San Francisco minimum wage with tips, and qualifying employees are eligible for company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as a matching 401(k) plan.

This position requires a proactive individual who is attentive to detail, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and enthusiastic about contributing to a team that values cultural diversity and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include assisting bartenders, maintaining glassware and bar cleanliness, refilling ice, retrieving supplies promptly, and performing opening and closing duties as needed. Qualified applicants should be 21 years of age or older and either possess or be willing to obtain a California Food Handler’s Certification.
