Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one plus years of experience as a barback in a high volume upscale hotel or free standing lounge environments
- ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively
- ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- certified food service manager or equivalent required
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- attend all trainings and meetings
- comply with uniform and grooming standards
- maintain current knowledge of beverages
- able to perform physical requirements of the job

- exceptional guest service skills

Job Duties
- Assure that all bars are kept in proper working conditions
- provide all supplies needed for bar prior and during all functions and events as per Beverage Supervisor and Captain request
- restock any and all beverages after all functions
- assist the bartender and beverage server in all aspects of service by stocking all service areas and maintaining adequate supplies throughout the shift
- clean and stock all glassware
- assist with the service of beverages
- transport food trays to/from the dining room
- assist with cleaning all public areas
- participate in monthly inventory
- inspect and prepare all service ware prior to use
- remove soiled glasses and plates for large parties and during peak volumes
- maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions of lounge and service areas
- complete post-shift clean up and side work duties
- maintain clean and organized storage space
- attend all training sessions and meetings
- promote teamwork
- notify appropriate individuals of problems or unusual matters
- interact daily with captains about event operations
- maintain knowledge of popular alcoholic beverages and cocktail recipes
- stock portable bar with mixers, alcoholic beverages, and supplies
- prepare mixers and garnishes
- set up bar service area with glassware and supplies
- greet guests professionally
- suggestively up-sell beverages
- assist in quality service of beverages
- break down equipment and return stock to storage
- record guest orders accurately
- monitor guest consumption for safety
- inventory beverage and operating supplies and order replacements
- perform closing duties and secure inventory
- comply with uniform and grooming standards
- remain current with hotel information and changes
- perform other duties as assigned
