Job Description
TC Restaurants is a prominent hospitality group that operates multiple lively and popular venues in the vibrant Nashville area. Some of its distinguished establishments include Luke Bryan's 32 Bridge Food + Drink, Lainey Wilson's Bell Bottoms Up, Jason Aldean's Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, Sun Diner, Luigi's City Pizza, Miranda Lambert's Casa Rosa, Tequila Cowboy, and Wanna B's Karaoke Bar. These venues are known for delivering unique dining and entertainment experiences that combine excellent food and beverages with exceptional atmosphere and guest service. TC Restaurants thrives on creating memorable moments for customers by blending quality service with the local culture and celebrity-inspired hospitality. This company stands out as a leader in Nashville’s dynamic food and beverage scene, contributing to the city’s reputation as a top destination for nightlife and dining with a diverse range of concepts from casual eateries to sophisticated rooftop bars.
The Barback role at TC Restaurants is essential for ensuring seamless bar operation and delivering an outstanding guest experience across all venues. This position is responsible for setting up bars, managing inventory levels, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the bar areas, liquor rooms, storage rooms, and back of house spaces. The Barback supports the bar team by assisting with opening and closing duties and must be physically active during shifts, frequently lifting heavy objects and maneuvering equipment. This role requires an individual who can work efficiently with a positive attitude while upholding TC Restaurant Group’s high standards for guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
Within this role, the Barback undertakes a range of responsibilities, from preparing syrups, mixes, and garnishes to ensuring the bar areas are clean, well-stocked, and organized consistently throughout the shift. Maintaining the opening and closing inventory par for liquor, beer, wine, and other consumables is critical, including monitoring for shortages or breakages. The Barback promotes a smooth workflow by assisting with equipment loading and unloading and by keeping the bar tops and back bar areas free of debris and clutter. Polishing and washing glassware, cleaning spills immediately, sweeping, and mopping floors contribute to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. In addition, the Barback actively circulates throughout assigned work areas to maintain atmosphere control and clear sightlines while providing polite, professional guest service on the floor.
To ensure a secure and compliant operation, the Barback is expected to monitor for and address any disruptive or intoxicated guests promptly by notifying management. Adherence to all applicable safety, health, and liquor laws is mandatory, as is compliance with the company’s standard operating procedures. This role also emphasizes leadership qualities such as accountability, dependability, teamwork, punctuality, quality of work, communication skills, and guest satisfaction. The Barback position is a dynamic, fast-paced job that requires adaptability to varying conditions including heat, noise, and exposure to nightlife environmental factors such as smoke and flashing lights.
Ideal candidates will be 21 years or older, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and hold any necessary state-required work permits such as the ABC Servers Permit. Previous knowledge of bar operations, drink recipes, garnish techniques, and inventory management is important for success in this role. TC Restaurants values professionalism and expects barbacks to maintain a neat appearance and positive attitude while contributing to a fun and efficient team environment. The schedule can include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and may exceed 30 hours per week including approved overtime. TC Restaurant Group is committed to equal employment opportunities, creating an inclusive workplace where employees can grow and thrive.
