The Barback role at Hilton is an essential part of the hotels' service team, providing critical support to bartenders to ensure the smooth operation of the bar area. This role is all about spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by preparing the bar environment to offer exceptional guest experiences. The Barback is responsible for preparing fresh garnishes and fruits, mixing juices, and organizing supplies in designated containers. They keep the bar well-stocked with essentials like glassware, ice, produce, condiments, and paper products to maintain seamless service. Handling and maintaining beer kegs and taps is part of their daily duties to ensure uninterrupted beverage service.

In addition to supporting the bartender, the Barback assists in inventory management by retrieving orders, visually checking stock, reconciling with requisitions, and confirming deliveries. The role involves maintaining cleanliness in the bar area, beer lockers, refrigerators, and storage areas to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. Compliance is paramount, as the Barback ensures adherence to health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations to protect guests and team members alike.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous hospitality or bar experience preferred
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • ability to handle physically demanding tasks
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
