The Barback position at TAO Restaurant Chicago plays a crucial role in maintaining the seamless operation of the bar area, ensuring that bartenders and cocktail servers are supported efficiently to deliver outstanding guest service. This part-time role includes responsibilities such as stocking and restocking bar inventories, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar and surrounding areas, and assisting bartenders in various service needs. Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year previous barback experience or equivalent related Tao Group Hospitality experience
  • Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant, nightclub, or lounge
  • Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate effectively
  • Possess good positive energy throughout the day
  • Ability to print legibly for team members, management, and guests to read
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move quickly
  • Ability to push and lift up to 75 pounds with or without assistance

Job Duties

  • Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests in a timely manner
  • Provide professional and exceptional service
  • Help to ensure the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests
  • Maintain general cleanliness of bar, bar area, and the entire venue
  • Follow supervisor’s instructions, communicate with and support co-workers while being a team player
  • Possess general knowledge of all food and beverage menus
  • Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards
