Job Description

Kessler Hospitality is renowned for its portfolio of artistically inspired boutique hotels that combine unique design, luxurious accommodations, an enriching ambiance, and intuitive service. With its properties located in Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, this hospitality company offers guests distinct experiences that immerse them in carefully curated art, music, and cultural influences. The hotels are designed with a redefined Bohemian luxury concept, catering to individualist travelers who seek originality and style in their accommodations. Kessler Hospitality was the pioneering member of the Marriott Autograph Collection, introducing seven Autograph Collection branded hotels that serve as bold and original destinations across various regions.

One of Kessler Hospitality’s standout properties is the Grand Bohemian Lodge located in the heart of Downtown Greenville, South Carolina. This AAA Four Diamond boutique lodge is perched on the falls of the iconic Reedy River and provides guests with an intimate way to experience the natural beauty and wonders of the area. The lodge is celebrated for its stunning views, a curated art collection, and earth-inspired accents that appear throughout the property—from its elegant chandeliers to the inviting wine room. Guests enjoy beautiful balconies, majestic architectural details, and amenities such as an onsite spa, art gallery, fitness center, and hiking trails that wind throughout the grounds. Additionally, the property boasts an outdoor bar and restaurant called Between the Trees, where visitors can relax while overlooking the Reedy River, as well as a manicured event lawn that highlights Greenville’s scenic charm.

Kessler Hospitality is currently seeking a part-time Barback to join the team at the Grand Bohemian Lodge. This role is essential in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization behind the bar while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The Barback plays a crucial supporting role to the bar staff by assisting in efficient service flow and managing the stock of liquors, wines, beers, soft drinks, juices, and various bar supplies. This position requires attention to detail, a positive and professional attitude, and the ability to adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage regulations.

The Barback’s responsibilities include verifying and stocking all requisitions for bar items, developing a thorough knowledge of products served, completing designated opening and closing duties, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. This role demands strong communication skills and patience when dealing with customer requests or concerns. Additionally, the Barback will operate and maintain bar equipment and tools and perform other duties as assigned by leadership. This part-time position provides an opportunity to be part of a vibrant hospitality environment where artistic inspiration and luxury hospitality converge to create memorable guest experiences. The role is ideal for those who want to support excellent service operations in a boutique hotel setting invested in artistic culture and high standards of hospitality.
