The Barback position at Paragon Tropicana is essential to maintaining a smooth and efficient beverage service operation. This role supports the bartending team by cleaning the bar area, replenishing supplies such as liquor, beer, wine, paper products, fruit, ice, and glasses, and assisting with bar service as needed. The ideal candidate is motivated, flexible, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment that demands quick response times and high service standards. The barback is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar and surrounding areas, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere for guests and supporting the bartenders in delivering quality beverage service. This position requires physical stamina, as lifting and moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds is necessary. Candidates must also exhibit strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.

Additional responsibilities include helping serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, stocking refrigerators with bottled drinks, preparing garnishes such as sliced fruit, washing and polishing glassware and bar equipment, replacing empty beer kegs, and removing trash. Barbacks at Paragon Tropicana are expected to follow strict service guidelines, including verifying guest identification to ensure legal alcohol service. A commitment to appearance and adherence to uniform policies for the pool area is also required.
