Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year experience in a hotel or related field required
- Flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Must comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards
- Must maintain confidentiality
- Must attend all required trainings and meetings
- Must have effective communication skills
- Must be attentive friendly and courteous in all interactions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Knowledge of beverage and cocktail preparation preferred
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong communication skills
- Friendly and service oriented attitude
- Physical ability to perform heavy work
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Familiarity with safety and hygiene standards
Job Duties
- Communicate effectively with employees and guests in a friendly courteous and service oriented manner
- Listen to understand and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
- Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Attend all hotel required meetings and training
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Comply with hotel safety and efficiency regulations
- Identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions
- Handle problems by anticipating preventing identifying and solving them
- Understand and apply complex information to meet objectives
- Cross-train in other hotel related areas
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Show initiative and anticipate guest or operational needs
- Perform duties requested by management
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
- Be attentive friendly helpful and courteous to guests managers and employees
- Receive all liquor beer and wine from storeroom daily
- Maintain cleanliness of bar refrigerators and service areas
- Replenish liquor beer and wine during shifts
- Be familiar with beverages cocktails and mixing portion control
- Assist in opening and closing side work
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of bar or lounge areas
- Assist with maintaining beverage cost
- Follow procedures for serving alcohol responsibly
- Retrieve and deliver food items to customers
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
