Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year experience in a hotel or related field required
  • Flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Must comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards
  • Must maintain confidentiality
  • Must attend all required trainings and meetings
  • Must have effective communication skills
  • Must be attentive friendly and courteous in all interactions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • Knowledge of beverage and cocktail preparation preferred
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong communication skills
  • Friendly and service oriented attitude
  • Physical ability to perform heavy work
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Familiarity with safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Communicate effectively with employees and guests in a friendly courteous and service oriented manner
  • Listen to understand and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
  • Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and training
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Comply with hotel safety and efficiency regulations
  • Identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions
  • Handle problems by anticipating preventing identifying and solving them
  • Understand and apply complex information to meet objectives
  • Cross-train in other hotel related areas
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Show initiative and anticipate guest or operational needs
  • Perform duties requested by management
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • Be attentive friendly helpful and courteous to guests managers and employees
  • Receive all liquor beer and wine from storeroom daily
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar refrigerators and service areas
  • Replenish liquor beer and wine during shifts
  • Be familiar with beverages cocktails and mixing portion control
  • Assist in opening and closing side work
  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of bar or lounge areas
  • Assist with maintaining beverage cost
  • Follow procedures for serving alcohol responsibly
  • Retrieve and deliver food items to customers
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
