Job Description
Born from the toughest sport on dirt, the flagship PBR bar at Texas Live! is the largest PBR venue in the country. This powerhouse establishment offers guests an authentic country experience unique to Arlington, blending an electric mix of "cowboy cool" and big-time Texas-sized entertainment. The venue boasts a massive 1,500+ capacity and includes a 7,000 square foot balcony overlooking the vibrant Arlington Backyard, making it a premier destination for nightlife and live events in Texas.
At this landmark PBR bar, guests enjoy an unforgettable atmosphere featuring two mechanical bulls, cold beer, and an extensive selection of hard drinks. It serves as a nighttime oasis for cowboy and cowgirl enthusiasts seeking thrilling entertainment paired with a lively social scene. The bar is deeply rooted in the tradition of rodeo culture and provides an experience that celebrates the spirit of the American West with a modern and energetic twist.
We are currently hiring for the Barback position, an important role responsible for supporting the bar operations and ensuring a smooth and efficient service environment. This role requires an energetic, outgoing individual who embraces professionalism and delivers outstanding customer service. The Barback is instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar, assisting bartenders by performing prep work such as refilling ice bins, restocking beer and liquor supplies, and cutting garnishes.
The position also involves physically demanding tasks including changing empty kegs, cleaning spills, and emptying trash cans to maintain a safe and tidy workspace. The Barback will manage barware, clear and clean the bar promptly, and multitask effectively during busy periods. Communication is key in this role, as it involves interacting with co-workers, supervisors, and guests in a friendly and respectful manner.
Ideal candidates will already have some food service experience with a basic knowledge of bar and nightclub operations. They should be fluent in English, with additional languages considered a plus, and meet the age requirements as stipulated by local laws. Alcohol awareness certification or a valid food service permit may be required based on government regulations.
Physical requirements include the ability to handle heavy items weighing up to 200 pounds such as kegs, ice, and trays, as well as the stamina to move efficiently throughout the facility. The role requires bending, standing, kneeling, and adapting to various temperature changes in the work environment. Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the venue's dynamic and fast-paced nature.
Joining the flagship PBR bar at Texas Live! means becoming part of a vibrant community that values teamwork, enthusiasm, and dedication to providing guests with a memorable country nightlife experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to grow within hospitality and entertainment, surrounded by a team passionate about delivering authentic Texas entertainment in one of the nation's largest and most iconic PBR venues.
