Job Description

The hiring establishment is a dynamic and stylish nightlife destination located in Louisville, known for blending the rugged spirit of cowboy culture with the sophistication of urban chic. This unique venue has transformed the grit and energy of the toughest sport on dirt—bull riding—into an exclusive club environment that captivates urban cowboys and cowgirls alike. Featuring beautifully designed decor, an extensive selection of cold beer and hard drinks, and a lively atmosphere, the club has quickly become a favorite spot for nighttime entertainment and social gatherings. With its commitment to providing a memorable experience through high-quality service and a welcoming vibe, the club stands out as one of Louisville’s premier nightlife venues.

The Barback role at this establishment is a vital support position designed for energetic and outgoing individuals who thrive in a fast-paced and social environment. This role is perfect for those who enjoy being part of a team that values professionalism while still having fun. As a Barback, you will be responsible for performing essential prep work behind the bar, ensuring that the bartenders are fully equipped to serve guests efficiently. Your duties will include restocking beer and liquor, refilling ice bins, cutting garnishes, and managing bar inventory with precision and care. Physical tasks, such as changing empty kegs and moving full kegs in the keg room, are a regular part of the job, requiring a good level of fitness and the ability to handle weights up to 200 pounds.

Maintaining cleanliness and organization is key to the smooth operation of the bar, and as a Barback, you will take ownership of keeping the environment tidy by cleaning up spills, emptying trash cans, and organizing drinkware. The ability to multitask effectively—handling more than one task at a time—is essential to meet the demands of a busy nightlife setting. Customer interaction is also a critical component of the role; serving with humility, professionalism, and a friendly demeanor helps create an inviting atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Communication skills are employed frequently to coordinate with coworkers, including cooks, wait staff, and supervisors, ensuring seamless service delivery.

Barbacks need to hold relevant certifications, such as alcohol awareness training and valid health or food handler permits, when required by local or state regulations. Flexibility with work hours, including the capacity to work nights, weekends, and holidays, is mandatory due to the nature of the club’s operating schedule. Overall, this role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the hospitality and nightlife industry to develop their skills, work closely with a dedicated team, and contribute to a vibrant and growing establishment in Louisville.
