The Barback must possess a strong understanding of a variety of alcoholic beverages and stay informed about all food and beverage menu items to deliver knowledgeable and attentive assistance.

The Barback is instrumental in enhancing the guest experience during their visit by supporting the bartending team, managing inventory effectively, and responding positively to any guest concerns. The position involves physical stamina, including standing and moving for extended periods, lifting and carrying moderate weights, and maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Flexible scheduling is offered, including availability on nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the hospitality industry and support the diverse needs of guests.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a barback or similar role preferred
- Ability to stand for at least 8 hours per shift
- Ability to lift and carry moderate weights
- Knowledge of basic health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Possess or be able to obtain Food Handler certification and ABLE license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Be committed to providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to multi-task and work quickly for the entire shift
- Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and guests
- Maintain a professional appearance and personable attitude at all times
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry moderate weight
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods with frequent bending and twisting
- Must be able to attain a valid Food Handler certification and ABLE License upon hire
- Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Maintain and refine service standards consistently
- Ensure compliance with all hotel standards and local laws
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Prepare for health department and Ecosure inspections daily
- Retain and maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menu items
- Perform banquet side work including cleaning bar and beverage equipment
- Respond positively to guest complaints and ensure positive guest service
- Assist in the control of food and beverage quantities to avoid over or under preparing
- Assist with setup and breakdown of banquet bar areas
- Attend all required department trainings and meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
