Meow Wolf is a cutting-edge creative company that brings imaginative, immersive, and interactive art experiences to life. As a public benefit corporation and a certified B Corporation, Meow Wolf operates with a commitment to financial, social, and environmental sustainability, aiming to make a positive difference in the world. Founded on principles of collaborative creativity, provocative playfulness, belonging, authentic compassion, and audacious courage, Meow Wolf fosters a unique and inclusive culture where all individuals are welcome and encouraged to bring their authentic selves to the community. This vibrant arts and entertainment organization specializes in creating fantastic realms and story-driven environments that captivate diverse audiences through innovation, artistry, and exploration.
The Barback role at Meow Wolf in Las Vegas, NV, entails vital responsibilities that support the smooth operation and upkeep of bar services within this extraordinary setting. The Barback is charged with maintaining cleanliness and organization in all bar-related areas, including the bar service equipment, storage, beverage preparation zones, and seating areas. This role requires continuous attention to hygiene standards by bussing, sanitizing tables, washing glassware, and replenishing stock throughout shifts to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Barbacks may assist bartenders under supervision, contributing to the preparation of cocktail garnishes and managing important bar supplies such as soda BIBs and CO2 tanks. They must have detailed knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails while being proficient with POS systems and payment processing to offer support efficiently.
Working at Meow Wolf means embracing a dynamic indoor work environment with loud music, special visual effects like strobing lights and fog machines, and occasional exposure to enclosed spaces, which reflects the immersive nature of the venue. Physical demands include repetitive lifting of up to 70 pounds, reaching and stooping motions, and the ability to remain on duty in a stationary position throughout extended shifts. A flexible schedule is essential, including availability on weekends, holidays, and evenings, with no supervisory responsibilities but significant collaboration with team members to uphold the company’s customer service standards and health regulations. Meow Wolf prioritizes a safe, inclusive workplace and complies with OSHA standards, offering reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities.
As part of the comprehensive benefits package, Meow Wolf supports its full-time employees with medical, dental, and vision insurance options, including PPO and HDHP plans, along with health savings accounts and flexible spending accounts. Additional financial and wellness benefits such as a 401k retirement plan, life insurance, disability coverage, critical illness policies, employee assistance programs, paid parental leave of 12 weeks, and exclusive discounts on merchandise and admission to Meow Wolf attractions enhance the overall compensation. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a visionary company that celebrates artistic innovation while fostering a supportive and diverse community dedicated to making an impact through storytelling and collaborative creation.
