Job Description
Harrah's is a renowned hospitality company known for its vibrant entertainment and gaming experiences, anchored by its strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest services in dynamic environments. A pivotal part of this organization is its Food and Beverage (F&B) operations, catering to diverse clientele who seek not only top-quality drinks but also a memorable, comfortable ambiance. As a leader in the hospitality industry, Harrah's prides itself on maintaining high operational standards, cleanliness, safety, and a staff culture that exemplifies excellence and team spirit. The company's footprint extends to various venues, including bars, restaurants, and entertainment spots, each integral to its acclaimed guest experience.
This role is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented and eager to support bar operations by ensuring the seamless supply of necessary equipment and garnishes while maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation standards. The position primarily involves obtaining and preparing supplies needed for the assigned F&B outlet, including slicing and pitting fruits to supply the bartending team with fresh garnishes specific to each outlet's requirements. A critical responsibility is accurately supplying all beverages, including beer, liquors, glassware, soaps, chemicals, silverware, and beverage utensils required for the consistent operation of the bar. Maintaining a clean and sanitary working area free of debris is essential, as is the regular replacement of empty beer kegs and bag-in-box supplies. Safety is paramount, requiring the incumbent to uphold a safe environment for both employees and guests.
The role involves setting up bars with the necessary tools, ice, and supplies tailored to anticipated business levels, ensuring readiness for incoming shifts with appropriate stock levels. The candidate is expected to assist all staff members as needed to guarantee excellent guest service and act as a role model who embodies the values and standards of Harrah's. Adherence to all company policies and procedures is mandatory, including performing related duties as assigned to meet operational goals. This role demands a flexible, hardworking individual capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and maintaining composure under pressure.
Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent and preferably some prior experience in restaurant or bar service settings. They should have excellent mathematical abilities to handle basic calculations, strong communication skills, and the dexterity to operate cash registers and beverage guns. Flexibility in scheduling is critical, as evening, holiday, and weekend shifts are required. Candidates must be at least 21 years old due to the nature of the beverage service environment. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and endure prolonged periods of standing or walking. The role also demands the ability to navigate stairs or escalators and tolerate environmental factors such as dust, loud noises, and bright lighting. Overall, this position is essential to supporting the operational backbone of Harrah's bar services, enabling a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests and staff alike.
