Known for its commitment to quality and guest engagement, the venue emphasizes a collaborative team environment and a strong focus on maintaining high service standards in every aspect of its operations.
The role open for recruitment is that of a Barback, a vital position within the bar team. This role is designed to support bartenders and ensure that the bar operates smoothly during events. A Barback plays an indispensable part in maintaining the pace and quality of the bar service by preparing the bar before guests arrive, keeping it well-stocked throughout the event, and assisting with cleanup afterward. This position offers an hourly pay rate of $10.00, plus eligibility for tips, making it a competitive opportunity for those looking to advance in the hospitality industry. It is a part-time role offering benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan and matching contributions, which is attractive for individuals seeking both immediate income and long-term financial planning.
The Barback’s daily responsibilities include setting up the bar with necessary food, beverages, and service equipment, ensuring everything is ready for efficient service. During events, the Barback continuously stocks coolers, liquor cages, ice wells, and other dry goods to support bartenders in timely beverage service. Attention to cleanliness and organization is crucial, as the Barback is tasked with maintaining sanitary and safe conditions in accordance with established health and safety standards. Post-event duties involve cleaning up all bar areas and packing equipment with the bartenders’ assistance to prepare the venue for future use.
This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess a keen eye for detail, and have strong observational skills to anticipate guest needs. Experience in similar positions like busperson or barback is preferred but not mandatory, offering an excellent pathway for entry into hospitality roles or for those aiming to build a career in food and beverage service. Being punctual and reliable with a dedication to maintaining company attendance standards is essential for success in this position.
As an evergreen role, applications are accepted continuously, enabling interested candidates to apply at any time without concern for a deadline. This flexibility indicates the organization's ongoing commitment to maintaining a well-staffed and efficiently running bar service team ready to handle a variety of event settings. Overall, the Barback role at this establishment represents a fundamental position that supports the guest experience and contributes directly to the quality and efficiency of service delivery.
