One of the exclusive venues under the Oak View Group umbrella is the RaRa Room, an elite members-only club restaurant located in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The RaRa Room is a fine dining concept developed in partnership with Major Food Group and Oak View Group, known for its high culinary standards and exceptional service. The venue seeks dedicated hospitality professionals who possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cuisine and customer experience.
The Barback role at the RaRa Room is a part-time position paying an hourly wage of $12.00 with additional tips, ideal for individuals interested in supporting a dynamic and high-energy bar environment. This position plays a crucial support role in ensuring the bar operates efficiently, continuously stocked with necessary supplies, and maintained in a clean and orderly fashion throughout service hours. The Barback works closely with bartenders to prepare the bar before opening, restock essential items such as liquor, mixers, glassware, garnishes, and bar tools, and maintain an inviting and professional bar atmosphere.
Key responsibilities include assisting in setting up the bar area, replenishing beverages and ingredients as needed, preparing garnishes, cleaning and polishing glassware and equipment, and ensuring proper disposal of used glassware and bottles. The Barback also helps maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the bar and storage areas, contributing to a seamless and exceptional guest experience. This role requires physical stamina, accuracy, and the ability to work during assigned schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a barback or similar hospitality role preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Basic knowledge of bar operations
- Ability to operate point-of-sales systems

Job Duties
- Assist the bartenders in setting up and organizing the bar area before opening hours
- Ensure the bar is well-stocked with supplies including liquor, mixers, glassware, garnishes, and other necessary items
- Retrieve and replenish beverages and ingredients as needed throughout the shift
- Clean and polish glassware, utensils, and bar equipment to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards
- Collect empty glasses and bottles from tables and bar counters, and properly dispose of them
- Prepare garnishes such as fruit slices for use in cocktails and drinks
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, sweeping the floor, and emptying trash bins
- Restock and organize storage areas such as liquor cabinets, refrigerators, and supply closets
