Since its founding in 2015, OVG has established a remarkable presence in the live entertainment industry, managing a portfolio that includes seven world-class owned venues and a diverse client base featuring some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. This expansive scope gives OVG a dynamic and influential position, enabling the company to shape experiences and elevate entertainment standards worldwide.
As an innovative, fast-growing company, Oak View Group is driven by a commitment to excellence, diversity, inclusion, and community engagement. The company values the strength that comes from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, recognizing that fostering an inclusive environment drives innovation, enriches service quality, and drives outstanding performance. OVG is dedicated to creating workplaces that reflect and celebrate the varied communities they serve, ensuring all team members are valued and empowered to contribute fully to the company’s success.
The Barback role at Oak View Group plays a vital part in supporting the operations of the bar and enhancing guest experiences. Primarily responsible for assisting bartenders by restocking products promptly and efficiently during events, the Barback ensures that bartenders remain well-equipped to serve guests without interruption. This role requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing inventory, including handling non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic products, ice wells, and cleaning supplies. Barbacks are also tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the bar and surrounding areas, which involves sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, and organizing storage spaces to uphold health and safety standards consistently.
Candidates for this position must exhibit excellent teamwork skills, adaptability, and strong communication abilities to interact professionally with colleagues, management, and guests. They should be vigilant in recognizing guests who might be intoxicated and ensure that bartenders are alerted to promote responsible service. The position is hourly, paying $18 per hour, and includes the opportunity to earn tips. Part-time employees also enjoy access to benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan with company matching, an important feature supporting financial wellbeing.
To succeed in this role, individuals must be reliable with consistent attendance and prepared to work scheduled events that align with business needs. The Barback function is especially suited to those energetic and detail-oriented individuals who thrive in fast-paced live event environments, have foundational math skills for inventory control, and hold relevant certifications such as a food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required. Overall, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a globally recognized leader in live entertainment, contributing to memorable experiences for guests and supporting a collaborative and inclusive workforce.
