Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is recognized globally as a leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Established in 2015, OVG has quickly developed a robust platform that includes venue development, end-to-end management capabilities, hospitality services, and sponsorship sales. The company operates on four continents, owning and managing a collection of seven world-class venues and serving a distinguished client roster that includes some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions worldwide. Oak View Group is committed to revolutionizing the live entertainment and sports industries by delivering excellence in every aspect of venue and event operations.
The Barback role at Oak View Group is pivotal in supporting the beverage operations team to ensure exceptional service quality and seamless event execution. This position demands an individual who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and physically capable to sustain the demands of a fast-paced live entertainment environment. The Barback assists bartenders and beverage supervisors by preparing and maintaining fully stocked, clean, and efficient beverage service stations before, during, and after events. This role contributes significantly to the overall guest experience at banquets, restaurants, and various special events hosted within OVG-managed venues.
This role offers an hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $25.00, reflecting the value placed on skilled support staff in the beverage service chain. Employment type is part-time, ideal for those looking to engage in a dynamic work environment while benefiting from flexible scheduling options including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based shifts. Part-time employees also benefit from valuable offerings such as a 401(k) Savings Plan and employer matching contributions, underscoring OVG's commitment to the financial security and welfare of its workforce.
Those serving as Barbacks play an essential logistical and operational role by stocking bars and beverage stations with all necessary supplies including beer, wine, liquor, mixers, garnishes, ice, cups, and other items. They manage the inventory to guarantee uninterrupted service throughout an event and assist with setup and breakdown activities. Maintaining cleanliness and order in service areas, coolers, and storage rooms is fundamental to this position, as is adhering to strict food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. The Barback must also be proactive in supporting inventory counts, ensuring product accountability, and providing friendly, professional service to both guests and team members.
Working at Oak View Group means joining a team that values diversity and inclusivity, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance. OVG emphasizes creating welcoming environments where all employees can contribute their unique perspectives and talents. This commitment to equal opportunity ensures that employees and applicants receive fair treatment regardless of veteran status, race, color, religion, gender, age, physical or mental disability, genetic information, or any other protected class. The Barback role offers not only a tangible career opportunity within a premier live entertainment company but also a chance to be part of an organization dedicated to making a positive difference in its community and industry.
