Job Description
Hyatt is a globally recognized hospitality company known for its commitment to excellence and providing outstanding guest experiences. With a longstanding reputation for quality service and an award-winning workplace culture, Hyatt consistently earns acclaim as a Great Place to Work in the United States. Hyatt's diverse portfolio of luxury hotels, resorts, and properties offers guests not only exceptional accommodations but also a warm and welcoming environment that reflects the company's core values of integrity, respect, and innovation. As part of the Hyatt family, team members are embraced in an inclusive and supportive setting where career growth and development are strongly encouraged through various training programs and leadership opportunities. The company fosters a culture that values collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement, making it a highly sought-after employer within the hospitality sector.
The role of Barback at Hyatt is designed to support the bartending team within a high-energy, fast-paced hotel bar environment. This position plays an integral part in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of the bar service by ensuring that all bars remain fully stocked and meticulously organized. Barbacks are responsible for replenishing liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, glassware, and other necessary supplies to meet the demands of a busy service period. In addition to restocking, the Barback collaborates closely with bartenders by providing assistance during service, which helps to streamline workflows and enhance guest satisfaction. Maintaining the cleanliness and overall organization of bar areas and storage rooms is also a critical duty of the Barback, as it contributes significantly to the health and safety standards of the establishment.
This role requires excellent communication skills and a guest-focused attitude, ensuring that all guest interactions are conducted in a professional and courteous manner. Physical stamina is imperative, as Barbacks must be capable of lifting and carrying moderate to heavy items throughout their shifts. Flexible availability, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential to meet the dynamic scheduling needs of the hotel’s food and beverage operations. While previous experience in hospitality or bar settings is preferred, it is not a requirement, as Hyatt prioritizes attitude, work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Embracing this position offers an excellent opportunity to build valuable experience in the hospitality industry and gain exposure to a renowned luxury hotel brand committed to the success and well-being of its employees.
