This hourly position involves supporting the bar staff to ensure a seamless and efficient flow of service and a first-class guest experience. The Barback is responsible for various tasks, including requisitioning, receiving, and properly stocking liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware, and condiments. The role requires a detailed knowledge of all products served at the bar and strict adherence to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Maintaining an organized and clean bar area is essential to this role, along with a positive, friendly attitude when attending to guests' needs. The Barback must also be proficient in operating and maintaining bar equipment and tools, contributing to the overall smooth daily operation of the bar. Job Duties
- Request, pick, verify and put away all requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks and food items used for the bar areas
- Stock the bar areas with liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware and condiments
- Develop a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar
- Ensure that all side opening and closing duties are completed
- Adopt a positive approach in dealing with guests problems and issues to ensure guest satisfaction
- Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to ensure compliance with regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Attend to customer needs with a friendly and professional attitude
- Operate and maintain bar equipment and tools
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
