WOCC offers an immersive experience to guests through its engaging exhibits and refreshing beverage tastings, making it a highly frequented destination and an essential part of Atlanta's cultural and tourism landscape. Beyond being a cultural attraction, WOCC also serves as a prestigious event venue, offering unique private spaces and the option to reserve the entire attraction for corporate and social events. Proof of the Pudding is currently hiring Barbacks to join their Mixology team at World of Coca-Cola events. This position is critical to the smooth operation of beverage service during events, where barbacks assist bartenders in setting up and maintaining the bar area. The role involves early preparation, ensuring all needed alcoholic and non-alcoholic products are pulled and organized before events begin, as well as maintaining inventory and cleanliness throughout the event. Barbacks at WOCC are responsible for managing both pre-event set-up and post-event break down, supporting bartenders by replenishing stock during events and promptly addressing shortages. This position demands excellent physical stamina, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach to help deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, dynamic event environment.

Job Requirements

  • Be the legal age to serve alcohol
  • Must be exceedingly responsible and accountable
  • Must live near or be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Additional certification in mixology or hospitality is a plus
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the role of a barback
  • Strong knowledge of bar menu items and stocking
  • Knowledge of upscale or VIP service styles required
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Renowned time management and organization skills
  • Strong customer service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs
  • Ability to work alone and as a team
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene
  • Must have impeccable integrity for the business, the community, and the Proof of the Pudding team

Job Duties

  • Responsible for both pre and post bar set-up and break down responsibilities
  • Begins shift earlier than the rest of the bartender team to pull all items needed for bar
  • Pulls all product (alcoholic and non) needed specifically for each night’s event
  • Gets team and product organized for rollout to venue floor and set-up
  • Ensures that all items are at the bar in time for the event to begin
  • Responsible for opening and closing inventory of product
  • Assist bartenders with replenishment during shift
  • Remains pro-active in assisting bartender(s) with shortages
  • Bussing and keeping bar completely free of trash and glassware during event
  • Refilling ice bins
  • Performs other related duties as required
