Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Prior experience in a bar or restaurant setting preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Eye for detail
- Pleasant demeanor when interacting with customers
- Ability to lift standard bar supplies
- Interest in developing bartending skills
Job Duties
- Keep the bar fully stocked at all times
- Prep garnishes such as lemon and lime wedges and wheels, herbs, bloody mary garnishes, pickles, olives etc., and label and date containers
- Juice citrus, pour into squeeze bottles, and label and date them
- Fill olive and lemon trays
- Refill ice wells
- Restock liquor bottles
- Change out tanks as needed
- Replenish napkins, toothpicks, ashtrays, peanuts, and other counter items
- Maintain clean bar rags in each bartender's station
- Clean counters
- Clean glasses and dishes
- Run drinks and clear glasses
- Clean drink spills and sweep broken glassware
- Help bartenders with anything they need
- Relay key information to security such as if a line is forming, if someone is drinking from an outside bottle, or if someone appears underage or overly intoxicated
- Assist with entering orders into the POS system as needed
- Take out trash or recycling throughout the shift and wash hands after handling waste
- Collect empty glasses from the bar
- Clean furniture
- Set up and tear down the bar for each shift
- Unclog sinks
- Mop behind the bar
- Clean no-slip mats
- Put away liquor and beer deliveries
- Track opening and closing liquor inventory
