Job Description

Fairmont Breakers is a prestigious and historic landmark nestled in the heart of Long Beach, California. Originally established in the vibrant 1920s as a lavish waterfront hotel, it quickly became a favored destination for celebrities and distinguished guests seeking luxury and elegance. Today, after an extensive and meticulous renovation, Fairmont Breakers has reclaimed its status as Long Beach's sole luxury hotel, proudly preserving the charm and grandeur of its storied past while offering modern, upscale amenities. The hotel features 185 boutique rooms and suites, designed to provide both comfort and sophistication. Guests can enjoy a variety of amenities including a stunning rooftop pool and terrace, an open-air rooftop lounge with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, a two-story spa and wellness center that caters to fitness and relaxation, multiple dining venues including an acclaimed live jazz club, and expansive indoor and outdoor event spaces totaling 10,000 square feet.

The role of a Food and Beverage Attendant at Fairmont Breakers is integral to delivering the exceptional guest experience synonymous with the Fairmont brand. As part of a dynamic hospitality team, the Food and Beverage Attendant consistently provides professional, friendly, and engaging service to all guests. This position involves maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in dining areas, ensuring that tables are promptly and correctly set up for all meal periods, and managing the flow of service with efficiency and attentiveness. This role demands a proactive, guest-focused approach, involving genuine interactions with guests, anticipation of their needs, and a thorough knowledge of the menu and hotel services to enhance guest satisfaction. Emphasizing quality and standards, the Food and Beverage Attendant adheres strictly to hotel policies, luxury quality assurance protocols, and Forbes 5 Star standards, continually conducting self-audits to ensure excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a historic hotel that values heritage, innovation, and outstanding service, all while being compensated at a competitive hourly rate of $25.00. Employees also benefit from discounted hotel rooms, food and beverage rates at affiliated properties worldwide, professional development through Fairmont's learning academies, and engagement in meaningful corporate social responsibility initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, eager to grow their skills, and committed to delivering memorable experiences in a luxurious environment.
