The Bar Back position at Legal Sea Foods plays a crucial role in supporting the bar staff by ensuring the bar area is clean, well-stocked, and efficiently managed during service hours. This role involves several responsibilities including glass-washing, batching, restocking beverage products, preparing garnishes, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the bar and beer cooler areas. The Bar Back assists in providing smooth and efficient services to guests by coordinating with managers, kitchen staff, and security personnel. An important aspect of this role is exercising hospitality when interacting with guests, contributing to a positive customer experience. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Employees in this role handle emergency situations such as cleaning up spills and broken glass, ensuring the bar remains safe and tidy. Job Requirements

Minimum age requirement is 18 years of age
High school diploma, equivalency degree or related experience preferred
Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift
Must have a good sense of balance, be able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, squat, push and pull
Must be able to frequently lift food and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
Position involves repetitive hand and wrist motion

Job Duties

Keep the bar stocked with liquor, syrups, glasses, napkins and all other necessary items before and during service hours
Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, change beer kegs and restock napkins and straws
Clean up the spills, remove the glassware and organize the counter
Keep the bar area neat and clean
Exercise hospitality when interacting with guests
Coordinate with managers, kitchen staff and security personnel to ensure efficient service to customers
Handle emergency situations like cleaning up broken glasses and clearing up clogged drains
