Job Description

This role is crucial in supporting our bartenders to ensure smooth and seamless service delivery throughout each shift. The Bar Back will be instrumental in maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar environment. This includes preparing garnishes, replenishing all liquors and supplies, monitoring the bar’s equipment and cleanliness, and following safety and sanitation guidelines rigorously.\n\nThe right candidate for this position will be attentive, efficient, and knowledgeable about our menu offerings and beverage recipes. They must excel in an active environment, demonstrating strong communication skills by engaging positively with guests and coworkers alike. This is a commission-based position compensated through service charge earnings shared among select front-of-house team members, and may also receive tips based on customer generosity. Additional compensation details will be discussed during the interview process. Candidates should be prepared for the physical demands of the job such as standing or walking most of the shift, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and performing various manual tasks. Job Requirements

  • Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
  • At least 1 year of bartending or closely related experience
  • Knowledge of beer, wine and cocktail recipes
  • Ability to interact with the public and coworkers positively
  • Physical ability to stand or walk most of the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation policies

Job Qualifications

  • Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
  • Requires at least 1 year of closely related bartending experience, work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Requires some knowledge of beer, wine, and cocktails and beverage recipes
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
  • Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions

Job Duties

  • Accept direction and constructive criticism from management
  • Be able to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends and increased work schedules
  • Maintain a positive, pleasant attitude every shift
  • Must be able to stand or walk for the majority of a shift
  • Must be able to work at approximately 36 table/bar and reach 36
  • Must be able to lift and carry sacks, boxes, product up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level, approximately 20 feet
  • Must be able to reach (6 to overhead), bend, stoop, wipe
  • Must be willing to perform other duties assigned as needed
