The Beverage Server role at Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to be part of this exceptional hospitality team. As a Beverage Server, you will be responsible for providing outstanding food and beverage services to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. Your role is pivotal in ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all patrons by greeting them warmly, taking accurate food and drink orders, and responding knowledgeably to questions about menu items. The position requires a deep understanding of various beverage selections, including wines, beers, and mixed drinks, along with strict adherence to state liquor laws to ensure responsible service.

Working in a lively beachfront setting, the Beverage Server will manage purchases, process payments, maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, and resolve any patron issues quickly and courteously. Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a bar setting required

Job Duties

  • Greet patrons upon arrival
  • assist with seating as needed
  • take food and beverage orders accurately and courteously
  • respond to patrons' questions about food and beverage items
  • write tickets for food items or receive orders from wait staff
  • maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations
  • verify legal drinking age of patrons as needed
  • handle purchasing transactions including operating cash register and accounting of daily sales
  • receive payment from patrons
  • make change and issue receipts
  • clear and reset tables and bar area
  • maintain thorough knowledge of all beverage selections and wine descriptions
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation
  • perform closing clean-up duties
  • resolve patron problems or complaints
  • assist other staff members to ensure optimum service
  • complete necessary paperwork and maintain files
  • perform other related duties as assigned by management
