Currently, Arts Alley is hiring a dependable, energetic, and hardworking Barback to support the bartending team in delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role is pivotal to maintaining a smoothly operating bar by ensuring it is always clean, fully stocked, and organized. The Barback works behind the scenes to replenish inventory, assist bartenders, and maintain quantities of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and ice. Job Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to two years related hospitality experience and/or training
Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
Ability to pass background check
Non-slip shoes recommended
Physical ability to walk, sit, stand, reach, handle, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, stoop
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs maximum and frequently lift or carry up to 75 lbs
Capability to work in outside environmental conditions including wind, rain, cold, snow, extreme heat
Ability to work in indoor environmental conditions protected from weather
Potential exposure to cleaning solvents and fumes
Ability to work in exterior conditions possibly unprotected from weather
Ability to multi-task and stay highly organized under pressure

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to two years of related hospitality experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Developed language skills to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, financial reports, and regulations
Ability to write reports and business correspondence
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with management, clients, customers, and public
Mathematical skills sufficient to read and interpret financial information, prepare budgets, and apply fractions, percentages, and ratios
Sharp attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
Developed reasoning skills to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and provide solutions
Ability to analyze instructions or policies in various formats

Job Duties

Stock bars with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and supplies before, during, and after service
Keep the bar clean, organized, and sanitized
Replenish inventory and notify management when supplies are low
Collect and wash glassware, utensils, and bar equipment
Remove trash and recycle during shifts
Assist bartenders by preparing garnishes, changing kegs, and restocking products
Ensure coolers and storage areas are organized and fully stocked
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations
Provide friendly and professional support to guests when needed
Participate in ongoing education and training
Attend team and department meetings
Perform other duties as assigned
