As part of Seaport Entertainment, Lawn Club is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Barback to join their team. This full-time position involves reporting directly to the General Manager and plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders to ensure smooth bar operations. The Barback will be responsible for maintaining a well-stocked, clean, and organized bar area, assisting in drink preparation, and delivering outstanding service to guests. The role is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring a person who is enthusiastic about hospitality, attentive to detail, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Ideal candidates will have prior experience as a bar attendant, barback, or runner, with a passion for food and beverage service. Job Requirements
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 - 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis)
- Ability to stand for prolong periods of time
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property
- Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment
- Climbing steps regularly
Job Qualifications
- 1 plus year of experience as a bar attendant, barback or runner
- Energy, enthusiasm, and passion for food and hospitality
- Experience serving both beverages and food
- Ability to work and remain focused in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of bar operations is preferred
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Job Duties
- Responsible for delivering excellent guest experience by supporting bartenders during service
- Greet guests, serve water, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and perform other steps of service as directed by a bartender
- Interact with bar guests, fellow employees, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality
- Anticipate and accommodate needs of the guests in a timely manner
- Keep all liquor displays and shelving organized and maintain par levels
- Keep the bar clean, neat, organized, clear of debris or spills, and ready for service
- Ensure adequate stock behind the bar during service and communicate any needs to a bar attendant
- Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
- Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
