As a Seasonal Full-Time Bar Back at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe, you will play a vital role in supporting the bar team to deliver seamless, high-quality beverage service. This dynamic position requires a passionate, energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced luxury hospitality setting. Your responsibilities will include assisting bartenders by restocking liquor, beer, wine, and cocktail supplies, preparing garnishes, refilling ice bins, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout your shift. Helping to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods, you will also handle the physical demands of carrying and moving heavy items such as kegs and boxes safely. Additionally, you will utilize your knowledge of beverages to assist staff in ingredient information and enhancing guest interactions.
This role also involves personal guest interaction where you will greet and assist guests, seat them when the hostess is unavailable, and promptly respond to guest needs or concerns. Operating the Micros POS system may also be required to process orders and transactions. Working closely with bartenders and other service staff, you will collaborate to anticipate guest requests and maintain Four Seasons standards regarding quality, safety, and adherence to New Mexico alcohol laws and health codes. Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of relevant experience in hospitality or bar service
- Current New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification
- Current Food Handler Certification
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Authorization to work in the U.S. unless holding a managerial position within the company
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in a bar back, bar server, or related hospitality role preferably in a high-end or luxury setting
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage, including cocktails, beers, and wines
- Current New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification and Food Handler Certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent personal presentation and communication skills
- Outgoing, compassionate, and a natural team player
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- U.S. work authorization unless currently holding a managerial role within Four Seasons
Job Duties
- Assist bartenders by restocking liquor, beer, wine, and cocktail supplies to maintain efficient service during busy periods
- Prepare garnishes and refill ice bins
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout shifts
- Handle the physical demands of carrying kegs, boxes, and other heavy items safely and efficiently
- Use beverage knowledge to support the team and enhance the guest experience
- Operate the Micros POS system for processing orders and transactions when required
- Greet and assist guests by seating them in the absence of the hostess and promptly respond to guest needs or concerns
- Collaborate closely with bartenders and service staff to anticipate guest requests and ensure smooth, timely service
- Uphold all Four Seasons standards of quality, service, and safety, including adherence to New Mexico alcohol laws and health codes
