Job Description

Stonebridge is a respected and dynamic hospitality company based in Brooklyn, New York, known for operating multiple upscale restaurants and bars that prioritize exceptional guest experiences. With a commitment to quality service, innovative dining concepts, and a welcoming environment, Stonebridge continuously strives to stand out in the competitive hospitality industry. The company fosters a culture that values inclusivity, diversity, and equal opportunity, ensuring that all team members feel supported and empowered to perform their best. Operating in the lively and culturally rich community of Brooklyn, Stonebridge attracts a diverse clientele who appreciate fine dining and attentive service. This location basis in Brooklyn is crucial as it allows Stonebridge to tap into a vibrant urban market with high expectations for dining and social experiences, which the company consistently meets through its professional team and well-maintained establishments.

The Barback role at Stonebridge is a pivotal position designed to support the bartending team by maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area, ensuring smooth and efficient service during busy hours. This role is seasonal and part-time initially, with the potential to transition into full-time based on performance and business needs. It is primarily focused on covering shifts during peak times on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Compensation for this role starts at $15 per hour plus tips, providing an opportunity for additional earnings based on service quality and shift performance. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, the Barback will be responsible for critical backend roles such as restocking liquor, mixers, and glassware, preparing garnishes, managing ice bins, and supporting beverage preparation during service peaks. Additionally, the Barback ensures all beverage storage areas are orderly and properly stocked, and assists with setting up and breaking down the bar.

Working in this role means being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where efficiency, attention to detail, and quick responsiveness to bartender requests are essential. The job requires frequent standing, walking, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds while performing repetitive tasks related to stocking and cleaning. Flexibility is a must, as shifts often include nights, weekends, and holidays. Stonebridge prides itself on offering a supportive work environment with reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities, ensuring everyone can contribute meaningfully to the team.

This Barback role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow their career in the hospitality industry by gaining hands-on experience in bar operations and beverage service. The hands-on nature of the job is fundamental in maintaining the high standards expected by both customers and management. Stonebridge values dedication and offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401(k) matching, wellness support, life and disability coverage, savings accounts, tuition aid, and travel and lodging perks. These benefits underscore Stonebridge's commitment to employee well-being and career development, making it an attractive place to work for motivated and service-oriented candidates. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy contributing to a team’s success through behind-the-scenes support, this seasonal Barback position at Stonebridge in Brooklyn presents a rewarding opportunity to build valuable skills and advance within the hospitality field.
