Job Description

Aparium Hospitality Services is a distinguished company in the hospitality sector known for operating hotels with a unique approach centered on People, Place, and Character. This organization has made a mark by prioritizing inclusivity, equity, and diversity, ensuring that every associate feels valued and celebrated. Aparium Hospitality Services takes pride in creating a work environment that fosters a strong sense of community and belonging among its employees. The company's ethos is deeply rooted in respecting neighborhood identities and honoring the cultures of the communities it serves, which is reflected prominently in its service style and offerings.

One of Aparium's establishments includes Firn, an elegant venue perched above Pioneer Square that blends breathtaking skyline views with a thoughtfully curated cocktail menu inspired by nature's water cycle. Firn emphasizes ingredient-focused drinks that enchant and delight patrons, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests to unwind and socialize. Complementing the bar offerings is a straightforward food menu designed to pair seamlessly with the beverage selections, perfect for sharing with friends in a lively, open-air setting.

Another culinary highlight under Aparium Hospitality is Salt Harvest, a restaurant that serves hearth-inspired cuisine evocative of the flavors of the Pacific Northwest. Salt Harvest showcases a passion for sustainable sourcing, featuring wood-fired cooking techniques such as open flame, smoke, and char. The menu boasts fresh seafood, local produce, and meats that deliver rich, bold flavors meant for sharing and savoring in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Guests enjoy an honest dining experience that is simultaneously timeless and full of character.

The Barback role at Aparium Hospitality Services is a critical position within the Food and Beverage (F&B) team. Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Barback plays an essential supporting role in bar operations, contributing to the smooth delivery of exceptional guest experiences. This position is non-exempt and focuses heavily on teamwork, service proficiency, and efficient time management.

The Barback is tasked with supporting bartenders and the broader service staff by maintaining a well-stocked, clean, and organized bar environment. Responsibilities include tasks such as stocking supplies, filling ice bins, cutting garnishes, and assisting with the preparation of juices, syrups, and cocktail bases. The role also demands a strong understanding of menu items and alcohol service protocols to ensure safety, legality, and excellent customer interaction.

In addition to hands-on bar support, the Barback actively participates in team meetings and lineups, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement. Attentiveness to physical workspace conditions and readiness to assist various F&B areas when needed underpin the flexibility and dedication expected of the person in this role. The position commands a passion for hospitality and embraces the culture of the Aparium brand, encouraging the sharing of extensive beverage knowledge to elevate guest satisfaction.

The Barback role offers an hourly wage of $21.30 plus tips, along with valuable benefits such as paid vacation, Seattle Paid Sick and Safe Time, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions. Employment with Aparium means joining an inclusive workplace that supports individual pride and community values, highlighting a commitment to creating an equitable work environment for all employees.
