Job Description
Cherokee Nation Entertainment is a prominent hospitality and gaming company that operates multiple world-class venues including Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, nine Cherokee Casinos across Northeastern Oklahoma, and Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, Mississippi. As the hospitality arm of the Cherokee Nation, Cherokee Nation Entertainment (CNE) has established itself as one of the largest and most successful tribal businesses in the United States. With a diverse portfolio of gaming, dining, entertainment, and lodging options, CNE offers unmatched experiences to guests while maintaining a strong commitment to community well-being and cultural heritage. The company's flagship property, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, is Oklahoma's premier gaming and resort destination, featuring over 2,600 electronic, poker, and table games, 35,000+ square feet of meeting and convention space, an 18-hole championship golf course, multiple food and entertainment venues, and a 2,700-seat event center.
The Barback position at Cherokee Nation Entertainment plays a crucial role within the beverage operations team. This entry-level role supports bartenders by maintaining stock levels of all forms of beverages, glassware, and other supplies necessary for smooth and efficient bar service. The position requires keen attention to cleanliness and organization, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and that guests experience a welcoming and safe environment. Responsibilities include managing inventory of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cleaning floors, managing trash, restocking essentials such as soaps and sanitizers, and supporting the bartenders during busy shifts. Candidates for this position are expected to embody the spirit of "The Big Six"—a commitment to a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean, and safe environment for both guests and team members.
Working at Cherokee Nation Entertainment offers significant career growth opportunities, competitive benefits, and a dynamic work environment. The company promotes health and wellness through top-notch health plans, 24/7 telemedicine access, and on-site health clinics at select locations. Financial security is fostered with generous 401(k) matching, paid vacation, sick leave, bereavement, and holiday benefits. The work-life balance is supported with flexible spending accounts, maternity and paternity leave, and a variety of voluntary benefits, while additional incentives reward performance and loyalty. Employees can also enjoy discounts and special appreciation gifts, helping build a rewarding and supportive workplace culture.
Joining CNE means becoming part of a dedicated team that delivers exhilarating gaming experiences, legendary live entertainment, diverse and high-quality dining options, and luxurious hotel accommodations. Employees gain experience in a fast-paced, spirited environment where teamwork and guest satisfaction are paramount. The Barback position, while entry-level, is essential for the seamless operation of bars within the casino and resort and offers an excellent foundation for career advancement within the hospitality and gaming industry. The role demands physical stamina, flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized work area in a lively atmosphere. CNE is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where employees can thrive and contribute to delivering unforgettable guest experiences, making it an outstanding place to build a career in hospitality and entertainment.
