The Barback role at Sodexo Live based at the Las Vegas Convention Center is an on-call part-time position offering $26.96 per hour. This role is vital to the overall operations of the bar by supporting bartenders and ensuring the bar area runs smoothly and efficiently. This position requires significant mobility, including the ability to stand or walk for long periods, lift moderate to heavy weights up to 50 pounds, and perform various physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and pushing or pulling supplies.

Job Duties

  • Set up and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools
  • Collect empty glasses from the bar and wash glassware as necessary
  • Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks employing the first-in, first-out system
  • Restock bar and designated stations with supplies and transport supplies to bar set-up area
  • Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar area, beer lockers, refrigeration, and storage areas to comply with health code standards
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
